JUB this evening has it that a gas depot owned by the Chicason Group of Company has been completely burnt down by fire today being Thursday, 24th of December, 2015 as many are feared dead.
The depot which is located along the traffic light at Nnewi-Okigwe road behind Innoson Motor Manufacturing industry according to an eye witnesse burnt beyond recognition
The fire started about an hour ago, as investigations are on to ascertain the cause of the fire
Meanwhile, the fire destroyed the Depot and its surroundings including some family compounds located beside it completely.
As at filing this report, the number of casualties is not known yet. Some of the workers, customers and motorcyclists using the Depot road were among the victims of the fire
Men of the fire service and road safety are currently at the scene.
