Barcelona and Argentine football icon, Lionel Messi has rescinded his retirement decision to continue playing for his country, Argentina.
Due to the "Love" for his country, Lionel Messi will return to the field of play for Argentina weeks after publicly announcing his retirement.
Recall in June, the Argentina born said he would not play for Argentina again after the team lost to Chile in the final of the Copa America.
But in a statement said on Friday, he wished to continue playing for his country as he preferred "to help from within".
When asked what prompted his statement earlier, the five times world best said he had a lot going through his mind then.
"A lot of things went through my mind on the night of the final and I gave serious thought to quitting, but my love for my country and this shirt is too great," Messi added.

Apparently he's given Argentina football fans a cause to rejoice again, as well as the world at large.
However, it still remains unclear if he would be considered for the looming world cup qualifiers.
