A Lagos state High Court presided over by Justice Adeniyi Onigbanjo, in Igbosere, Lagos state, has in a judgment stopped the Lagos State Government from further evicting settlers of several waterfront communities in Lagos, as the court declared the eviction unconstitutional.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The judgment which was made as a result of a suit filed in 2016, by 33 applicants on behalf of themselves and other residents of the settlements included Otodo Gbame, Tomaro, Otumara, Orisunmibare, Oko Agbon, Itun Atan, Sogunro, the Ikorodu communities of Ofin, Bayeku, Olufunke Majidun and the Bariga communities of Ago Egun and Ebute-Ilaje.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The suit was filed against the Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, the governor, and the Commissioner of Police who are the first, second, third and fourth respondents respectively.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Justice Onigbanjo also ordered the parties to meet and discuss how to resolve the relocation of the residents. The judgment was earlier stalled in April 12, when the court suo moto (on its own motion) raised the issue of its jurisdiction. However, while its verdict yesterday, the Jusyice Onigbanjo maintained that the matter was properly before the court, and that there was no dispute over the ownership of the land.</p>

<b><i>Tell us about yourself and what you do for a living? Kindly include some of your projects with dates.</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"My name is Damilola Alabi. I'm a Nigerian and a yoruba girl from Ondo State.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
I’m a UK based filmmaker and entertainer. I’ve produced several movies. I also act and present TV shows as well as Radio shows. This is what I do for a living. Some of my projects are The <b>Rubicon</b> (2014), <b>Rescue</b> <b>Me</b> (2008), <b>Wannabe</b> (2014), <b>Temilorun</b>(2017),<b> Ruby Tales series</b> (2014), <b>Mystified</b>(2017)"</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>ON HER </i></b><b><i>PERSONALITY</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Tell us about your childhood – Where you were born, what you loved doing, your hopes and dreams while growing up.</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"My childhood was very good. I was born in Lagos State, Nigeria to an Accountant mum and an Engineer dad. I loved making friends growing up, I was quite the social type. I dreamt of been a news broadcaster because I admired the newscaster on TV."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>What educational qualifications do you possess and how did this prepare you for a career in acting?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"I studied Law at the University and I worked in law firms for some years. It was while working at a law firm I had my first acting experience so while my educational qualification didn’t particularly prepare me for my film career, I can say it played a huge part in getting me started."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>Did you ever imagine you would one day become an acclaimed and celebrated Actress and Filmmaker? What influenced your passion to excel?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"I never really imagined I would one day become a celebrated actress, all I knew at the time was it was a passion that I wanted to indulge in as much as possible. I just wanted to act that was all? Everything else that comes with it now is extra and very well appreciated. There's nothing like doing the thing you love and enjoy."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>Describe Dami?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i><b><a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sYsqO7WWUmY/WQdKTjy4i6I/AAAAAAAAGZY/b3Zsp9Kwr88j1TeBtK8kx8bVDGO71FnLQCLcB/s1600/Screenshot_2017-05-01-14-39-18%257E2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sYsqO7WWUmY/WQdKTjy4i6I/AAAAAAAAGZY/b3Zsp9Kwr88j1TeBtK8kx8bVDGO71FnLQCLcB/s400/Screenshot_2017-05-01-14-39-18%257E2.png" width="270"></a></b></i></div>
<br>
<div dir="ltr">
"I’m an easy going person, I do tend to care too much about what people say and think of me but I'm working on that as you cannot get anywhere in life thinking and worrying about what people think of you. I like to think I'm friendly and approachable but I'm quite shy and sometimes people misinterpret it as me being snobbish."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>Tell us about the first role you played in a movie, what was your initial experience like? </b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"My first acting experience was in 2008 on a movie called Rescue Me produced By Afolabi Makinde of Best of Your Choice. I played the role of a doctor who broke the pregnancy news to a joyous couple played by Clem Ohameze and Steph Nora Okeke.It was an amazing experience and I knew then and there that was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>Were there times when you wanted to give it all up due to challenges and difficulties? If YES, what kept you going?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"There were times when I felt maybe I was doing things wrong and I was sorely tempted to give up most especially when some people close to me asked me if I was sure of what I was doing. What kept me going was the knowledge that I love what I am doing and really couldn't imagine myself doing something else. I have a burning passion for acting and film production so I just have to make it. I told myself I needed a lot of patience and determination. It’s a conviction for me and so I made myself find different ways to approach the situation. That’s how I was able to deal with it all."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RhDCzzsTQSk/WQdK1EsIV2I/AAAAAAAAGZg/SYq0fk2Tat09GUEBGRCBdl-Li0KauVDYQCLcB/s1600/Screenshot_2017-05-01-14-39-06%257E2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-RhDCzzsTQSk/WQdK1EsIV2I/AAAAAAAAGZg/SYq0fk2Tat09GUEBGRCBdl-Li0KauVDYQCLcB/s400/Screenshot_2017-05-01-14-39-06%257E2.png" width="250"></a></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br>
</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>What episode in your career would you term as the most challenging and why was it so?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"The most challenging episode in my career was when I was just about to get into it. I didn’t know how to start, I didn’t know anyone or anything all I had was the drive. So I started going for auditions and castings and some of these auditions you have to wait hours before you get attended to and sometimes after waiting for hours they don’t even attend to you at all. And there were times I had to pay to attend auditions that nothing came out of. Also in Nigeria there were a few times I met some producers and they would make the most embarrassing propositions to me in exchange for an acting role. Lots of broken promises along the line.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
For me challenges are a part of life how to deal with them and overcome is the important thing. And to do that one just has to keep going, stay focused, roll with the punches and celebrate the little victories."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>What’s would you attribute to your successes, determination and passion?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"I will say for success one just has to be determined and passionate. You always have to keep your goals in mind. And the determination to succeed comes from the passion and love you have for what you are doing. If you love your career you will be determined to make it work."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>ON HER CAREER</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Tell us about your first acting opportunity in the movie “RESCUE ME”. What was the experience like?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
Like I stated, Rescue Me was a great experience and it cemented my love for my craft.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>What been your biggest role in a Nigerian movie and how challenging was it for you?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
My biggest role was in a movie called Simi, filmed in 2017 and it was challenging because I had to be my most natural self</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Have you ever portrayed a role that reflected you real personality?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Did it make it easy for you to get into character?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"<u>I</u> am yet to play a role that reflects my real personality. I sometimes wonder what that would be like."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>Would you say it’s easy being a film maker in </b></i><i><b>Nollywood</b></i><i><b>?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Being a filmmaker is like any other Job or career, you have to put maximum work and effort into it to make it work. It won't be easy for most at the start but with tenacity and hard work it does become easier."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>As film maker, what do you look for in a script?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"I look for a good story and nice dialogue and also because I write scripts myself I'm quite particular about details."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>As a film maker, what were you initial challenges and how did you overcome them?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"My initial challenge was the lack of opportunities around me. Along with the encouragement of some key people around me, I decided to become a producer. That was how I was able to overcome that challenge."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>What was the inspiration behind your movie, RUBICON?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>How was the experience for you?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"The Rubicon was a great experience and a good learning curve for me. That was my first production. It was directed by the prolific Chucks Mordi who literally held my hand and guided me through the whole process from start to finish. Without his guidance I would have definitely made a mess of the whole thing."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>If </b></i><i><b>Nollywood</b></i><i><b> was to make a movie about your life, who would you pick to play your character?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Ha-ha. Great question. To be honest I can’t think of anyone who can play me more than myself"</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Have you ever felt pressured or intimidated by anything or anyone?</i></b><br>
<b>What’s your advice to overcome this?</b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Yes I have felt pressured and intimidated. And the best advice I can give is to remember who you are, know that no one holds your happiness except you and no one should have any hold on you whatsoever."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>What’s your take on Awards?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>Do they really give credence to one’s talent?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Award is just to show appreciation for ones efforts, skills and talents. They aren’t a measure of one’s ability."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>ON FAMILY/ Relationships</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Are you married?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Because what I do is so public, so out there, there’s a part of myself and my life I like to keep strictly private and personal. And this is one of such. Please permit me to keep it that way."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>How did you prioritize career over family?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BNDHbl4Y1Bo/WQdLhqCNEsI/AAAAAAAAGZo/T7QbWPPcHWIUqx0zAU9GLyPnPb6eXff5ACLcB/s1600/Screenshot_2017-05-01-14-38-56%257E2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BNDHbl4Y1Bo/WQdLhqCNEsI/AAAAAAAAGZo/T7QbWPPcHWIUqx0zAU9GLyPnPb6eXff5ACLcB/s400/Screenshot_2017-05-01-14-38-56%257E2.png" width="271"></a></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"I do not prioritize my career over my family. They work hand in hand luckily for me."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Has being famous changed anything about you?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Hahaha I don't think I'm famous enough to have changed anything about myself. Maybe ask me this again when I'm really really famous"</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b><i>Is there anything about yourself you’d like to change?</i></b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Wow there are lots of things about myself I would love to change yes definitely. But I will not be mentioning them hahaha!"</div>
<div dir="ltr">
I think I find the most satisfaction when I'm reading a really good book or when I go to the beach</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>In view of your successes/ experience, what ‘bitter </b></i><i><b>truth’</b></i><i><b> would you give to aspiring actresses/ </b></i><i><b>film-maker</b></i><i><b>?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"Bitter truth will be that there will be ups and downs, there will be moments when you feel like giving up, and there will be lots of people making promises they never fulfill but if you know you really want to make it in this career, never give up your dream and keep working at it no matter what 25. I act like nothing happened and keep it moving and if I can’t I just laugh before others do"</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>How do you tackle embarrassments?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"How I tackle embarrassment. I just laugh it off. If something embarrassing happens to me I'm the first person to laugh and that takes out the sting of the embarrassment. I know not to take myself too seriously that way a lot doesn’t get to me or affect me."</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>What do you consider your greatest achievement so far?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
My greatest achievements so far are my film productions</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>If you could only save one thing in your handbag, what would that be?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"My purse definitely, I will save my purse"</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>What do you love to cook?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
I love cooking spaghetti, I cook it really well I’ve been told</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<i><b>What’s your next BIG thing?</b></i></div>
<div dir="ltr">
"My latest production is titled Mystified, an action packed romantic drama directed by the prolific Best Okoduwa. Bible in one year: Genesis 42-43, Isaiah 55</div>
<div dir="ltr">
MESSAGE:</div>
<div dir="ltr">
God’s voice is so powerful that it can bring about abundant increase. When He speaks in a situation of lack and acute shortage, whatever is responsible for that anomaly is arrested and there is bountiful provision. An example of this can be seen in the lives of the children of Israel. In Genesis 46:26-27 , we read that all the people that Israel brought with him into Egypt including Joseph and his family were 70. However, when they were leaving Egypt, the men alone were numbered at 600,000 (Exodus 12:37). In fact, the Israelites’ rate of multiplication in Egypt was so raid that it became a source of worry to the Egyptians (Exodus 1:7-10). </div>
<div dir="ltr">
Sometimes, we think that such miracles can only occur in Bible times. By the grace of God, in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, we have seen God’s faithfulness demonstrated in the area of multiplication. In 1952, the Church started with about 12 people. By the time I became the general overseer in 1981, we had only 40 parishes including the headquarters. The convention we had in 1980 had a little over 600 people in attendance, yet we thought that was quite large. Today, through the grace of the Almighty God, this same Church has spread to over 174 nations of the world! Why? It is simply because there is a God who can speak from Heaven to make something little increase abundantly. This shall be your portion today in Jesus’ Name!<br />
A blessing summons all the forces in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth to help an individual to succeed. To bless someone, you have to open your mouth to declare it. When God blesses you, all the angels of God will assist you, and even demons will fight one another to clear the way for you. In Genesis 48:8-20 , Joseph, while visiting his father Jacob with his two sons, carefully guided his father to rest his right hand on the head of the elder son, Manasseh, and to rest his left hand on Ephraim the younger. At this time, Jacob was old and sick, and could no longer see. When Jacob crossed his hands over the two boys, Joseph protested but Jacob insisted, saying the younger will be greater than the elder, and then he blessed them. Within a short period of time, the younger son had become 10 times more blessed than his elder brother (Deuteronomy 33:17). This is what the declaration of a divine blessing can do in the life of a person. Ask God to declare His blessings on you. You can also seek the declaration of blessings from a father that is connected to God.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Prayer Point</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Father, from today, let me experience Your blessing of multiplication in every area of my life.</div>

Anglophone Cameroonians have now gone 50 days without internet access due to an indefinite internet blackout imposed by the Paul Biya government in January, sahara reports says.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The internet ban took effect on January 18 as protests against the Cameroonian government’s marginalization of the minority Anglophone population gained momentum.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
While the government claimed that it suspended internet service in Anglophone regions of Cameroon in order to prevent internet users from “inciting riots,” the protests were largely peaceful, only to be met with brutal government repression.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Before shutting down internet access in the Anglophone-majority Northwest and Southwest regions, the Cameroonian government arrested and detained Anglophone activists Agbor Balla Nkongho and Fontem Neba, leaders of the Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium, on charges of treason, secession, and terrorism. Shortly thereafter, the government arrested Supreme Court Justice Paul Ayah for his support of the Consortium.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Other activists, many of them college students, were whisked away by soldiers and police officers and taken to unknown destinations.<br />
As the government’s crackdown on dissent and internet access has continued unabated, activists have called on the United Nations to take action on behalf of the marginalized English-speaking Cameroonians.<br />

<div dir="ltr">
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has appealed to the Federal Government to upgrade all polytechnics to universities of technology to end discrimination against technological education in the country.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Speaking during an interview to press men recently, the chairman of ASUP, Yaba College of Technology branch, Adeyemi Aromolaran, who made the appeal, said that government’s discriminatory policies against polytechnics were retarding the development of technical education in the country.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Aromolaran said: “We need to look at the British example of running educational programmes, because that is where Nigeria copied the polytechnic education system from.<br />
“Britain had abolished polytechnics long time ago; all polytechnics have been turned to universities of technology in that country.”</div>
<div dir="ltr">
According to him, admission figures into the nation’s polytechnics and colleges of education were dropping every year due to unfavourable government policies.<br />
He said: “As long as we continue with the system we are running, discrimination will persist and consequently admission into polytechnics will continue to dwindle.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The ASUP official said that with the dichotomy between the polytechnic diploma and the university degree, no enlightened person would want his or her child to go to the polytechnic.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
According to him, most of the youths are drifting toward acquiring the university education.<br />
Aromolaran said: “ASUP has not been keeping quiet but government response has not been favourable.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“Recently, another level of discrimination came again from JAMB, since we now have one JAMB examination for polytechnics and universities.<br />
“JAMB now request that a candidate who made polytechnic second choice pay additional fee of N2500 or N3000 before being offered admission into the polytechnic.<br />
“This is the latest form of discrimination against polytechnic education.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“Ordinarily, that is sufficient to discourage any young person from going into polytechnic, not to even talk of college of education.<br />
“When we are agitating that government should remove the dichotomy and other discriminatory policies against polytechnics, now JAMB created another discriminatory policy against the polytechnic.”<br />
The ASUP chairman said until all the unfriendly policies were abolished, the country would not have an effective polytechnic system that would be acceptable by all.<br />
Aromolaran said the union would continue to protest and resist all attempts to diminish the progress and development of the polytechnic education in the country.</div>

<p dir="ltr">According to Njoroge, who shared his encounter with Nairobian News,  this bizarre occurrence started in the year 2012.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The incident has already cost him his marriage in addition to the pain and weakness he experiences after the unsolicited sexual experience with the spirits.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“The problem started around 2012. That particular night, I heard footsteps and a girl crying outside my house.<br>
“It was so real. I went out to see what was happening. I saw two women who upon seeing me, vanished.<br>

<div dir="ltr">
<br>
Here's to one of Nigeria's fast rising comedians, Prince Neche, who took to his social handle to lament on the current state of the entertainment industry in Nigeria, drawing from his experiences from the city of Awka Anambra state......see the full gist below </div>
<div dir="ltr">
"INDUSTREET"<br>
(The unizik Entertainment Story)</div>
<div dir="ltr">
2010 January 8th, I arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe University. I have always been a comedian from home na, I didnt just want to grow, I also wanted to learn but there was no platform. There were just two known comedians here at the time; Parrot Mouth and Kuriano. There were others: Mc Gentle, Mallam Dagogo and Angel Gabriel and that was all and these people were unapproachable especially the first two. I remember a certain day, Kuriano called me down from a stage where I was performing just to shout at me for cracking a joke he said was his. A joke I heard in 2008 at enugu (Anyway, that was the day I swore to stay on my own, work hard and get to the top, and when I do, I will be very accessible to any upcoming comedian that wants a platform, because it hurts not to have one). Anyway, the other comedians were still looking to get to the lime light oh!!! I forgot, there was also Mc Wem and Mc Cup but who know them kwanu? Them no even get platform not to talk of giving another person. I met Mc Cup in my fellowship, and funny enough, he decided to share the little platform he had with me.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
I am telling you little of my story just so you know that I have been here for too long and I know what am about to say.<br>
.....................................................</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Fast forward to 2014, the industry has opened, you can now wake up one morning and decide to do a show and people will support you. You can throw a party and people will come.<br>
Them no born you well to do comedy show in Awka as at 2011/2012 if your name is not P-mouth. If you even decide to do it, you will call Parrot mouth and ask him to give you a date when to do your show so it will not clash with his own.<br>
You want to throw a party and you're not a part of Adonis or Pink? You are mad!!!</div>
<div dir="ltr">
GMX, GKC, SUREBOIZ, COPREATE ENT, HUSTLERS ENT (most of you might not know these names).....etc. all of them have come and the industry has opened. Everybody has become equal. Shows have become easy to do. The battle has been fought and won so anybody can now enjoy the spoils from the war. THAT'S WHERE EVERYTHING STARTED TO SPOIL!!!</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Anybody wakes up, picks a date, prints banners and does a show or a party, without proper planning. Not like it's my business though but those of you outside this town or looking to come here soon, please lemme show three serious angles of our entertainment that needs changing.<br>
*The Shows<br>
*The Pageants<br>
*The Awards</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Shows- The level of entertainment scam in this town is something else. A lot of 'A list' artistes have been to Awka on posters and handbills only.<br>
We rush to venues paying and hoping to see Ycee, and we end up seeing Slowdogg or sometimes nobody. We pay for things and we don't get them. All the shows are majorly the same. I remember SlimshadyInvasion2, The guy suffered to bring Derenle to Awka. People doubted like crazy. Derenle even did a video to tell people that he was coming but still, people said the video was a scam, that Derenle's mouth movement and the audio of the video didn't sync. And this is as a result of previous show scams. This town is where great upcoming artistes pay show organisers to perform at their shows instead of the other way round. I am choosing not to call out people in this writing maybe because am not Toke Makinwa, but I know a great number of people know what I am talking about and the people behind it.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Pageants- Sorry oo, but in this town, pageants have become a medium for runs girls to upgrade their Résumé and launch into a bigger market of "runs girlship" (Yes I said it, if you vex kill yasef) .<br>
It is also a medium for high class runs girls to hide their illicitly acquired cars from their suspecting parents. Yes na, A girl does 'runs' till she can afford a car, but knows that her parents will question her so she gives the car to a pageant organiser and also supports him/her with some money, then they will host a pageant and crown her winner. That way, the car can be branded "Miss One thing like that" or "Face of Ofu ihe nwannu" instead of the supposed "Miss Ashawo Nigeria". Haven't you wondered why there are so many pageants in Awka?</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Pageants here are also a way to do high class pimping. Permit me not to explain. Google it!!! <br>
Pageants here also have their own scam. They would advertise cars and wardrobe allowance and all expense paid trips to where ever and at the end of the day, after you have sold tickets for the organisers and hustle to win the crown, they will rent car, brand it mildly and present to you on the night of the pageant and from the next morning, me and the girl will be dragging bus. The scam in the pageant world is something I can't finish talking about today so I will leave it and talk about something that gives me serious concern. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
The Awards- I don't know why this aspect of the entertainment industry screams "Fraud"!!!!<br>
In this town, Awards are just like an auctioned item, the highest bidder gets it or in some cases, if you're a close friend of the organiser, then you get one too. They announce 20 voting categories and give out 30 honorary awards. Someone is "Best Dancer of the year" and another person is "Best Energetic Dancer of the year".... Really???.<br>
Sometimes they come in tricky forms, "Dear Prince Neche, you have been recognized to be awarded as Comedian of the year in the next edition of EZE NDI ARA AWARDS 2016 but you will need to make financial contributions or support towards the event, ranging from 10 thousand naira and above".</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-i4ah8h96CH8/WGTkgoyQHdI/AAAAAAAAGVA/yr0rHZgxrUIhfr_JCO390iiyzOhZGQRfACLcB/s1600/Screenshot_2016-12-29-11-18-53%257E2.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="288" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-i4ah8h96CH8/WGTkgoyQHdI/AAAAAAAAGVA/yr0rHZgxrUIhfr_JCO390iiyzOhZGQRfACLcB/s400/Screenshot_2016-12-29-11-18-53%257E2.png" width="400"></a></div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br>
Some will ask you as an awardee to come and buy IV to the event at 5k then bring 10people that will buy IV at 1k each. (Una for tell me say na Ultimate cycler we dey do) <br>
Awards in this town don't reward hardwork, but rather recognizes people that can pay. and somebody will carry money and pay for an award, collect it and come and use it to decorate his room while still going hungry(chop the award na).<br>
2016 has been a dope year in the entertainment industry in this town. Personally I may not have anything to offer anymore, but those of you that still do, please try to change the game. We need to do things differently here. We can grow our entertainment industry here, but not the way we are going.<br>
Dear Fellow entertainers and Showbiz colleagues, <br>
I didn't write this to spite anybody but to lend a voice and move a motion for the betterment of our entertainment industry. Awka is not all there is to entertainment. Packing awards here that you can't live up to doesn't make you a great entertainer. Take your eyes off that title of "AWKA BEST" , try something more challenging, there are bigger grounds to conquer, there are bigger dreams to pursue. Step out of your comfort zone and try new grounds. The sky is wide enough to contain all of us.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
My Name is Prince Neche and I wish to see a positive change.</div>

<br />
The leadership of the House of Representatives has put in place adequate machinery to ensure the passage of a bill seeking to prescribe 20-year jail term for those convicted of sponsoring terrorism in the country.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
The bill also seeks to criminalise international terrorism, funding of terrorism and seizure of terrorist cash and property.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
According to <b>New Telegraph</b> the national security and intelligence committee of the House are at an advanced stage to conduct a public hearing on the bill.<br />
The bill co-sponsored by Hon. Mohammed Monguno (APC, Borno) and Hon. Ahmed Babba Kaita (APC, Katsina) is titled “a bill for an act to make provisions for offences relating to terrorism, prohibit the financing of terrorism and consolidate all acts relating to terrorism, and a bill for an act to amend the terrorism act of 2011 for the purpose of applying stringent prison terms for offences of terrorism, and remove the ambiguities in the act and for related matters.”</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Section 17 of the bill recommends 20 years’ imprisonment term for any person convicted of any terrorism act, while anyone who conceals information about acts of terrorism risks 10 years’ jail term on conviction.</div>

<div dir="ltr">Come 2017, Sambisa forest would start serving as training ground for personnel of the Nigerian Army.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
This was revealed by Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai in Damasak, Borno, on Monday, while celebrating Christmas with troops of 145 Battalion after the road leading to the town was reopened by Governor Kashim Shettima, three years after closure.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
According to Buratai, Troops were already conducting a mop up operation in the forest after the last strong hold of the Boko Haram terrorists was captured.<br>
“We are also opening up roads to Sambisa and Alagarno forest. Sambisa forest is going to be one of our training grounds.<br>
“I have already directed that we should conduct Nigerian Army small arms championship in that forest next year.<br>
“And we are going to use it also to test fire our fighting vehicles, other key equipment and weapons that requires testing whenever we want to induct new weapon and equipment into the Nigerian army inventory.<br>
“It will afford us very good ground for basic tactics and indeed advance tactics, including but not limited to tactics at the Platoon, company, battalion, Brigade and even division levels.<br>
“We are going to make it more robust to make sure that these criminals do not come back to that forest again.</div>

<div dir="ltr">
<br></div>
<div dir="ltr">
Controversial OAP Daddy freeze is at it again, and this time, the cool FM presenter bared his mind on the issue of Tithing. According to him on his recent Instagram post he shared, there was no where it was mentioned in the bible that we must give our tithes...... See his post below </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div>
<div dir="ltr">
daddyfreeze - "Do you know that you aren't obligated to pay tithe? So many people say it's a commandment that must be obeyed..... These yahoo boys sha..... They stop at nothing! Commandment where?</div><div dir="ltr"><br>
Was it mentioned in the ten comandments? If it was, please show me where! Don't even bring up Malachi 3:10 because the law for the priesthood was abolished in Hebrews 7:18 which says "Yes, the old requirement about the priesthood was set aside because it was weak and useless."<br>
And no one can curse you for 'robbing God' by not tithing; Romans 8:2 KJV</div><div dir="ltr"><br>
"[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."<br>
-----------------------<br>
Are you aware that no Nigerian pastor is qualified to receive tithe? To receive tithe u MUST be a levite. So who are the Levites? In Jewish tradition, a Levite is a member of the Israelite Tribe of Levi, descended from Levi, the third son of Jacob and Leah.<br>
The Tribe of Levi served particular religious duties for the Israelites. To be a levite you have to be a Jew and be born into that family. A yoruba, Igbo or Hausa man absolutely cannot be a Levite. It is not by calling, annointing or education.. It is a BIRTHRIGHT<br>
-----------------------<br>
God said to Aaron who was a priest in the book of Numbers 18:9; You are to have the part of the most holy offerings that is kept from the fire. From all the gifts they bring me as most holy offerings, whether grain or sin or guilt offerings, that part belongs to you and your sons.<br>
-----------------------<br>
Yes, the offering is meant for the priests, but I thought JESUS came to wash away our sins so no more 'sin' or 'guilt' offerings but hey 'man must wack'.<br>
So if the offering was meant for the priests who then receives the tithe?<br>
-----------------------<br>
Numbers 18:21; I give to the Levites all the tithes in Israel as their inheritance in return for the work they do while serving at the tent of meeting.<br>
-----------------------<br>
All the tithes go to the Levites who don't have an inheritance cannot own land and are not allowed to work... Does any of our modern day Pentecostal pastors qualify to be a levite? The answer is NO so they can't receive tithe! ~FRZ </div>

Jamia Al-Hudaa Residential College for Girls, a boarding school for muslim girls, has been ordered to close down its operations, after it was accused of teaching strict Sharia-style rules to its pupils.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
According to Aliyah Saleem, a former student of the school, students of Jamia Al-Hudaa Residential College for Girls located in Nottingham, were taught a number of extremist beliefs, including men should be able to beat their wives and gay people should be killed.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Given this, the £3,500-a-year independent school has been ordered by the Department for Education, according to close down.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
Ms Saleem, who claims she was expelled in 2011 for owning a disposable camera, said: "At least four girls accused of being lesbians were expelled during my time. Teachers and pupils discussed it openly.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
When contacted, management of the school through a press statement argues that the decision is "completely unbiased and unfair" and part of a "highly politicised agenda" of inspections at Muslim schools.</div>

In his bid to eradicating corruption in Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has given the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC , and other anti - graft agencies the go-ahead to probe any of his children or members of his family implicated in corrupt practices.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The president has vowed not to forgive the anti - graft agencies if they fail to probe any allegation of corruption against his children and family members.</p>
<p dir="ltr">President Buhari’ s tough anti - corruption mindset and plans were contained in a book, “ Muhammadu Buhari: The challenges of leadership in Nigeria” , which is authored by Prof. John Paden.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The book also reveals how Buhari inspired the acting Chairman of EFCC , Mr. Ibrahim Magu as a school boy to develop anti -graft traits.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Nice move Mr. President!!! But wait o, only time shall tell if he'll remain true to his word, and whether the judiciary will be able to keep up with these high level cases in their judgement......lol</p>

<div dir="ltr">
MESSAGE</div>
<div dir="ltr">
One of the reasons why God saved us is that He wants to partner with us in His kingdom. God is in search of faithful men, He is looking for people who will produce fruits of righteousness within and without. Faithfulness in the discharge of whatever assignment God has given us is a proof that we are partners with Him. Our assignments must be done in a manner that will bring glory and honour to Him. As teachers of the Word, we are not permitted to teach what is convenient; we have to teach the absolute Word of God. As pastors in our churches, it is required of us to be found faithful and have a good oversight over the flock of Jesus. As co-labourers in the vineyard, we must not do anything without the Master’s instruction. We must do it according to His prescription. There are many people today who are in ministry but are running it as convenient. This will not meet the requirement of the Owner of the work when He comes with His reward. Ministers of the gospel must make effort to have a good conscience and to earn trustworthiness on the part of those they are presiding over. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
As children of God, we must be in the business of building His Kingdom in expectation of His return. We are stewards of the Most-High God and much trust has been committed into our hands. The work of God must not be handled anyhow. It should not be seen as something that should be done with indulgence. The expectation is much and one must be faithful and wise so as to be rewarded. No matter the difficulties one meets on the way, one must forge ahead as a Christian soldiers and fulfil the ministry which has been committed into his hand.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.”vRevelations 22:11</div>
<div dir="ltr">
It is the motive with which you desire to do things that will be judge. By the time the hour of reward comes, there will be different levels of reward for different people based on how they have fared in the business of God. By the time Jesus returns, He will not return empty-handed. This is why those who are lazy need to challenge themselves to do something profitable before it is too late. Hard work is expected and those living a life of holiness must continue to strive for a life that glorifies God. You cannot deceive God, you cannot cheat God. I can assure you that whatever you do for God, He will reward you in due season. Nobody trades with God and loses. Nobody partners with God without having something great to show for it. God is always faithful to His word and promises. I always pity those who expect their reward to come from their spiritual head. It is very possible for the General Overseer to forget you and your labour of love. He may not even know you are somewhere working. He sees only what is within his range of vision, but there is a God who sees beyond the reach of any General Overseer or Senior Pastor.</div>
<div dir="ltr">
“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” Galatians 6:7</div>
<div dir="ltr">
If you are praying, remain faithful in your prayer ministry. If you know how to praise God keep on praising Him. If you know how to give quality offerings, keep it up. Keep on paying your tithe. I can guarantee you that your reward is coming. </div>
<div dir="ltr">
<b>Prayer Point</b></div>
<div dir="ltr">
Father, please help me not to be found wanting in faithfulness in Jesus’ name.</div>
